This just couldn't be easier just put it all in a casserole or the crockpot and let all those lovely flavours simmer together, then serve tossed through pasta as we have done but just as great with potatoes or rice. Servings: 6
Slow Cooked Pork Recipe
Ingredients:
2 Carrots, peeled and sliced
750g 100% New Zealand Trim Pork, diced 400g can Wattie’s Chunky Arrabiata Pasta Sauce 1/2 c White Wine 3 c Fresh Spinach Leaves, torn 1 Leek, sliced 1 tbsp Chopped Fresh Rosemary or 1 tsp Dried Rosemary
Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 160ºC
2. Combine diced 100% New Zealand Trim Pork, leek, carrots, Wattie's Extra Chunky Arrabiata Pasta Sauce, white wine, 1/2 cup water and rosemary in a casserole dish and mix well.
3. Cover and cook in the oven for 1 1/2-2 hours or until the pork is tender.
4. Season with pepper and stir through the fresh spinach leaves, cover and rest for 3-4 minutes. Serve with pasta.
Crockpot / Slow cooker instructions: Place all the ingredients except the water and spinach into the slow cooker and cook on LOW for approx 8 hours (refer to your user manual). No water is required. Follow step 4 to complete and serve with pasta.
