Saucy Beef Olives Recipe
Ingredients:
2-3 tsp Oil 1 Onion, sliced
1 1/2 cups Gregg's Homestyle Stuffing Mix 1/4 c Raisins or Cranberries 6 Beef Schnitzels 250g Mushrooms, sliced 1 tbsp Chopped Fresh Thyme 550g can Wattie's Just Add Hearty Savoury Mince Simmer Sauce
Directions: Preheat oven to 180ÂșC.
Combine dried stuffing mix with raisins and 3/4 cup cold water, mix well and set aside.
Place beef schnitzels between sheets of plastic wrap and flatten with a rolling pin.
Cut each schnitzel into 2 even sized pieces.
Divide stuffing into 12 equal amounts and place on beef slices, roll up and secure with a toothpick.
Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan and quickly brown the beef olives, turning 2-3 times.
Arrange the onion, mushrooms and thyme in the base of a casserole, place beef olives on top.
Pour over Wattie's Just Add Hearty Savoury Mince with 1 cup water.
Cover and cook in the oven for about 1 hour or until the beef is tender. Serve garnished with parsley and steamed green vegetables.
Crockpot/Slow Cooker Instructions:
Prepare beef olives following steps 2-6 and place in the slow cooker with Wattie's Just Add Hearty Savoury Mince (no water required). Cook on LOW for approx 8 hours (refer to your user manual). Garnish and serve as directed above.
