Hershey's Chocolate Mint Slice Recipe

Ingredients:
1 c Flour
3 c Sugar
½ c Butter, softened + 6 tbsp Butter
4 Eggs
1 ½ c Hershey’s Syrup
1/2 tsp Mint Extract
3 drops Green Food Colouringhansells food colour green
1 c Hersheys Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips

Directions:
Heat oven to 180° C. Grease slice tin.

Combine 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup butter, 4 eggs and 1/2 cup syrup in large bowl; beat until smooth.
Pour into slice tin.

Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until top springs back when touched lightly in centre.
Cool completely in slice tin on wire rack.

Make mint cream centre:
Combine 2 cups sugar, ½ cup softened butter and 2 tablespoons green creme de menthe (OR 1 tablespoon water plus ½ teaspoon mint extract and 3 drops green food colour can be substituted for creme de menthe) in medium bowl; beat until smooth.

Spread mint cream centre on base. Cover and refrigerate.

When slice is cold top with chocolate glaze.

To make chocolate glaze:
Melt 6 tablespoons butter and 1 cup Hershey's Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips in small saucepan over very low heat.
Remove from heat; stir until smooth. Cool slightly.

Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
Keep refrigerated.
