Brussels Sprouts with Apples, Lemon and Garlic Recipe
Ingredients:
Salt Black Pepper 3 tbsp Olive Oil
2 Garlic Cloves, finely chopped Zest and Juice of 1 Lemon 400g Brussels Sprouts, stalk end trimmed and cut in a cross 3 Large Apples, peeled, cored and sliced
Directions: Cook the brussels sprouts in boiling water for about 5 minutes until just tender, do not overcook.
Drain and reserve.
Heat the oil over moderate heat and add the garlic, apple slices and lemon zest.
Gently panfry until the apples are soft and lightly browned.
Add the sprouts and gently fry until the sprouts are hot.
Add the lemon juice and season with salt and pepper.
